Counselling for Young people
If your child or teenager is struggling and could use some extra support, I offer counselling for young people in both Sidcup and Margate. My sessions provide a calm, friendly, and understanding space where young people can be themselves and explore how they’re feeling.
Many teens are interested in counselling but feel nervous about meeting someone new. To help make that first step easier, I offer a free short Zoom or phone call before the first session. This gives your teen the chance to meet me, ask any questions, and get a sense of what counselling will be like.
I believe it’s important for young people to have choice and comfort when finding a counsellor, someone they feel they can talk to openly and without judgment. I’m also happy to share a photo or video of my counselling room, so they know what to expect when they arrive.
The first counselling session is a gentle introduction, where we get to know each other and build trust. We might chat, play a few games, or do something creative, whatever helps your child feel comfortable and start opening up.
If you’re looking for teen counselling in Sidcup or teen counselling in Margate, I’d be happy to discuss how I can support your young person.

What I can offer your child:
Working Together with Parents & Guardians
I believe that for counselling to be most effective, young people need to feel confident that their sessions are private and confidential. This helps them open up, build trust, and get the most from counselling.
At the same time, I completely understand that as a parent or guardian, you are trusting me to support your child and may wish to know more about what counselling involves or how things are progressing. If updates are requested, I will always discuss this with your child first before sharing any information, to ensure they feel safe and respected. More details about this can be found in the Counselling Agreement, which I send by email before sessions begin.
Session Length & Flexibility
Each counselling session lasts around 50 minutes. However, if your teen finds a full session challenging, we can discuss alternative session lengths or approaches to best support their needs.
Free Introductory Chat
If this sounds like something your teen would be open to, I offer a free 20-minute online or phone chat. This gives them a chance to meet me, ask questions, and decide if I feel like the right fit for them. Parents are welcome to join this call too if they’d like.
Professional Standards
I hold an enhanced DBS check, have completed safeguarding training, and am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
If you’re based in Sidcup or Margate and are looking for a trusted, compassionate counsellor for your teen, please get in touch to arrange a call or to book a first session.

Free 20 Minute Introductory call
I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, whether it’s for yourself or your child. To make the process a little easier, I offer a free 20-minute call or Zoom session to talk through your counselling needs and answer any questions you may have.
This initial chat is a chance for you (or your child) to get a sense of what it’s like to work with me, and to see if I feel like the right counsellor for you/your child. I believe it’s important to find a therapist you feel comfortable and safe talking to, someone with whom a trusting relationship can naturally develop.
